I have started to get into training but not sure best method to gain weight...I know that cardio is pretty much a no no, so is it just heavy weights I should be doing....

Regards,

Bobby.

Low reps heavy weights 5x5, 6 reps or less on compound exercises plenty of protein plenty of rest do some cardio for your heart on non workout days bike, treadmill etc.
Time and hard work.

Kind Regards

By weight I assume you mean muscle? How much do you weigh now and how tall are you? Your going to have to train hard and eat like a horse. Try and get a high protein diet too, ideally your going to want around 1.5 - 2 grams of protein per kilo of body weight but your also going to need carbs to fuel you and some fats are also essential.

Your body can only processes so much protein so over loading doesn't work. More clean calories low reps heavy weight.

some stella & few kebabs will help lol

sorry just had to

Your body can process around 20g of protein an hour roughly (although noone really knows for sure) so you could easily get your 1.5 -2g of protein per kg of body weight per day.

I'm afraid I disagree with you mate, do you have any evidence to back your claim up? Even a typical chicken breast contains 40g of protein.
