Phone Unlocking Nokia BB5 Unlocking Software

Thanks for clearing that up fes_786 :)

So does he already have the updated logger and is just waiting to release it, or is he working on it to be released? SOunds like he already has it but is waiting for team Griffin to release a box then he will release his update. But I don't see the point in this, if he has it why not release it now

Also when he does release his update how would I go about getting/making a DKU-5 cable for my N95 as it only has a MINI USB port on it? Or will that do to create the log files then I generate the unlock codes with the calculator and enter them manually?

:)

ok he has got the logger but its in beta testing

second thing is that team griffin are charging £££ for there box's .etc and his logger is free

so it will put a huge dent in their profit

and i would think a V3 cable should do the trick as it uses same type of mini usb connector ;)

Without sounding anything other than sincere, read the instructions. It will only unlock the phones that Dejan himself has mentioned.

If you really want to experiment with other phone models, then it cannot be stressed enough. Take a log, and keep it safe...

been waitin for ages for this solution, shame it only supports older models. I have sold all my bb5 phones ages ago bcoz i couldn't get em unlocked, this has took a very long time.

Oh well have to get my 6680 bak off me bro and give this a try.

l8tr ppl

I don't see why not if you have the correct cable. Found out that N95 is possible but you have to make an FBUS cable that connects to the socket under the battery, the socket Nokia uses to program the phone.

Think you can modify a 6280 FBUS, can't remember all the details..

:)

This is the link to the commercial side of Dejans logger / unlocker. It sells for around £1750 and will unlock 110 phones.
Check the phones that the full version supports, how much it costs, even how many has he sold.... Anyone still think the N95, 6280, etc can be made to work with his free software?

Ok guys, attempting my n95.
this is the cable i have:
(picture attached)

Now all i have read is that i need an fbus cable, i got the cable that i attached the picture of to be read as com1 and open the program but it wont read the phone. so i guess i need to modify the cable?

also i've seen pinout diagrams, i have no idea what they are. so has anyone got a link to where i can buy an fbus cable or even borrow/buy one from somebody?

thanks for any replies.

Hi,
Im trying to unlock my Nokia N80 (v4.0623.0.41), locked to 3 with a DKU-5.
Im failing at the first hurdle; "Bad connection! (check fbus cable, turn off/on phone, restart program etc").
2 questions:
1.) Is there anyway i can downgrade my version to RAP3GS v2.0E PA?
2.) Will I have any more luck with a different cable?
Thanks

first off, the DKU-5 is so the wrong cable for this phone. You would need a DKU-2 or more sensibly a CA-53 (you get one in the box with the N80)

Second, it is nearly impossible to unlock a BB5 device. When nokia ships these phones to the networks they offer them the ability to unlock or unlatch from the network. Most networks take them up on the offer, the only notable exception is o2 who have a different business model.

3 UK bought one of the unlock devices from Nokia and shipped it to India for its call center. These things are quite remarkable, nearly induscrictable, however within 3 months they managed to break it. Nokia shppied them another with a bulk purchase of the N80 for the UK, but they had to jump through hoops to get it.

Now, to calculate the codes? Near impossible from what I know about these devices - you need extrahardware in order to unlock - and not those nasty little unlock clips or tornado HWK devices.

The best way I know of getting a device unlocked from 3 UK costs about 15 quid. Buy a threepay sim, wait about six weeks, then call them up for an unlock code. A lot cheaper than buying into any hardware and actually legally obtains an unlock code for you.

Can someone tell me what cable I need for a Nokia 6630, iv just bidded on DKU-2 USB Data Cable for Nokia 6230/6630/7610/3230/1100 im assuming its the right one for me to unlock my phone and upgrade my phone firmware?

Thanks for the advice. I had a quick go with the CA-53 but to no avail. I also tried ringing 3...They told be that because it was a contract phone, the only way they would unlock it would be if they spoke to the original customer (not possible for me), even if i asked 5 years later!

Perhaps there is a way to change the IMEI number to match a N80 which has already has an unlock code, then change the IMEI back again? Clinging to straws, I know...

I presume an unlocking shop will have a box that can unlock the N80?
