In Internet Explorer when im offline and i click History most of the sites are greyed out so i can't view them offline, but i want to be able to view sites offline. How do i make it so their not greyed out.

I checked in Options and it says amount of disk space to use for
Temporary Internet files is 1061 MB but when i goto the Temporary Internet Files folder, the folder size is only about 25mb. What could be wrong?

Can't find the option in IE7 but if you're still using IE6 when you add a page to your favourites there is an option to make it available offline.

Favourites, Add to Favourites, and then check Make available offline.

Then from Tools and Synchronise you can sync manullay or create a schedule.

I've never used the feature myself though.

The option of making available offline has been removed from IE7.

You could save pages as html files if you want to view them when offline.

I knew about the 'Make available offline' feature but i dont want to have to add a site to the favourites and click Make available offline for every site i want to view offline. Shouldnt IE save pages automatically to the cache so their available offline?

Not a web coder so may be wrong, but I guess as most webpages today aren't static html but dynamically generated IE will need to connect to the webserver to fill in the missing bits.

Not all the sites are greyed out only some of them. and not just different sites are greyed out. For instance some pages on this site can be view offline but others can't. I'll try changing the disk space to use to a higher number from 1061mb

Maybe IE uses a rules of which pages to cache. Never tried it on a desktop/laptop but on my PocketPCs sometimes I'll browse the history and it just seems to be random pages which are cached, i.e. sometimes the full BBC News frontpage will be cached and I can read offline and at other times it wants to go online.

Its bloody annoying i think i'll upgrade to IE 7. if that doesnt cache pages properly i'll switch to another browser such as FireFox. does anyone here use firefox? some feedback on it would be nice.
