Dreambox PCI Card????????

HI I have a dreambox 500c and thanks to this site had no problem setting it up thanks guys.

Just a question I am building a multimedia pc at the moment and was wondering if there are any pci cards that would do the same thing as a dreambox ie.. decode channels free. Preferably with a satelite and cable tuner.

lol i was lookin at the same thing last year (thats how i ended up with a dreambox in the first place). theres not a standalone PCI card that will do it (that i know of), BUT, u can get an MPEG DVB-C PCI card AND a Software Emulators that will emulate the encryption systems. as for keys, there is a way of getting them too. i got my bookmarks somewhere and will have a sniff about for them, should help you out.

but seeing as im lazy and it may take me a while, do a google search for ProgDVB and Emu plugins (i think the emu is called s2emu).

ive got this done at the moment, with a dvb-c card on nthell ireland and using mediaportal with softcams if you want to pm me and ill talk ya through it : big crow

lol as i spend most of my time "living" in this dreambox forum i didnt even realise there was a DVB one. all the info u need is in there mate.

Yep there are a few of us playing in the DVB section, its quite new only a few weeks old, so not as polished as this section with D/L and Tuts but we will only get their with members contributing.
