global warming??? only 5 years ago they said we're going to cause another ice age

they cant get the weather right next week so they not gonna forcast what itll be like in 50 years time are they

its a big feck off con to me, to tax us more!!!

Myth...the earths weather is cyclic!!! end of story!

Once we were hot then cold then hot then cold...now we are getting hot as we are coming OUT of an ice age!

excellent!!!!!!

im off to tesco to stock up on bbq stuff ready before they sell out, hosepipe ban? no fkin problem, i got a river out my back garden, follow it upstream for 15 mins to waterfalls

bring on the sunblock, sambucas and slappers lol

wonder if the government will remove the recent 'green tax' from flights now that science can show planes are nothing to do with glodal warming...... yeah right no chance.
Lots of great information in the program, glad public are being shown some truths at last lets hope it continues. I have never believed humans are responsible for global warming but i still agree with 'wiping out the usa' suggestion above :)

if everyone gave up transport tommorrow, the government would be shitting it and shouting........COME BACK!!!!! WE CAN'T TAX NO ONE ANYMORE!!!

A very interesting programme - made a lot of sense. I would have liked to see a bit of debate though with people with different opinions challenging each other.

i think thats the problem, the facts exist but governments cant afford to accept them. Any alternative evidence to their own has to be brushed off and sneered at because they are already full-steam ahead with earning profits from the Myth of global warming. Their arguement is that going green creates industry and financial growth and is good for the planets resources, so it must be true that humans cause global warming lol.
I really doubt we will get real debate that has any impact. Its a matter of taking in the facts and making your own mind up, so at least we have had some alternative facts reported now. Tax and wasted costs to the public will continue, so will the rise of planet temperature.

that will make a war :eater:

l always knew they where up to know good . slowing the growth of other country's ... thats the only reason bush changed he views .. tax tax tax ..

I didn't see the entire programme, but the problem with these issues is that there is a hysteria surrounding them. Just the same way everyone said they were going to buy a Sinclair C5, nobody wants to say the wrong thing in this day and age when it comes to climate change.

The BBC are justifying not showing many of the opinions from the channel 4 programme on the basis that 92% of scientists believe in global warming from pollution. However, it was their environmental analyst who pointed that out and as the chanel 4 programme pointed out, does that kind of person have a job if there is no climate change problem.

Journalists are very selective about what they do and do not report, and the criteria they use changes constantly. They would criticise 90% of business people in a second on the basis that they are selfish, but 90% of scientists are beyond reproach.

Global warming is happening, but is it created by humans?

i dont agree ch4 was 'swindling' they simply put another side of the story across. So ok 1 guy says he was mis-represented (denied by producers) but what arguements do scientist have against ch4 reportings? They simple brush it off by saying "most scientists" believe the evidence is incorrect. What kind of arguement is that from a science community? The fact that more scientists are heading into the ch4 viewpoint and leaving the 'global warming' view is more important than how many current numbers of scientists believe what side of the arguement.
Ok we may be adding to Co2 levels, that is agreed and cannot be denied, but Co2 has been 10 times what it is today without any global destruction; sea levels have been 400m higher than todays levels; our input of Co2 is a mere drop in an ocean compared with Co2 from volcanoes, oceans, plant & animal life etc; Co2 in the air helps much marine life develop; Limestone, Coal & Gas is all created from excess Co2 in the air, blah blah all the other arguements.
Nature has its way of combating changes, for instance you hear loads about the fast melting ice in the Artic, but do you hear about the growth of ice in the Antartic? Ok the growth is not as fast as the decline but it just maybe proves a natural shift? As the planet warms then ok we do get less ice in polar regions, this means for us the gulf stream slows down, which in turn means we get colder in the uk. Colder in the uk means we may get snow & ice all-year round, snow & ice reflects the sun, that results less global warming :). What if the planet was so massively hot everywhere that we started getting more vocano eruptions and even more Co2? Well vocanoes may contain even more Co2 BUT they also contain sulfates/sulphur which is a huge planet cooler.
I'm no scientist but i believe the planet has natural cycles anyway and humans will not change that. We may 'possibly' help slow warming down, I do have respect for going 'greener' and using less of the planets resources etc but thats a different story. Global warming is happening anyway and its not our fault imho, and wasnt our fault the many times its happened before- when humans didnt even exist.
Anyway, our planets Co2 contribution in the uk is absolutely extremely tiny when compared with others, and even if we stopped every plane on the whole planet from flying it would only account for 2% of the Co2 level growth. So the fact that politicians try to earn from global warming here makes me even more determined to not accept it.
