doing me head in??

i really am stumped...ive rest my box net id using the funcard method and everything went perfect rebooted on its own as it should,, but i keep getting the mo43 error message network cable unplugged...and if you try to change channel you just get no channels available ( not even the free ones ) stuck on channel 0..my box is a ditv1000... really doing me head in this one???

what does the net id say in the engineers menu ?

anyway i set the netid on my 1000 with 'lidebug' using a straight through rs232 cable, worked a treat

Are you not the one trying to use this box in a NTL area? If you are then thats the main reason its not working anyway.

i am mate but found out this box is from the same town as i live in...so should work also has ntl logo on front of it..what is that cable you speak of does it go in the circuit board or in back of the box?

This box is not for pure NTL areas and even if you do get it working it may not function correctly and fully. By all means try all im saying is if you get a box thats actually for NTL then your life will be made alot easier.

Pace 4001 (Stay away from these in my opinion more often than not pieces of crap)

Pace 4010

Samsung 2100

Samsung 2110 (stay away from these more often than not dont have paired card so useless just now)

Either the Pace 4010 or Samsung 2100 in my opinion both are very stable boxes. Pick either of them up fairly cheaply and easy to modify.
