On the left hand side of the main page select DM600 pvr and the image is there to download...!!!

It'll be a basic CVS image for the DM600. It won't have any keys or roms and an emu will have to be added as well. And that's just for starters. Any plugins, i.e. Direct Recording, etc. and any other menus, i.e. emu manager, flash & backup menu, tuner driver menu, etc. will have to be added as well.

is the 600 actually released now then?

The 600pvr box is announced for end of march or april.
The containers from China did not arrive yet.

Seems a bit big at 18MB. Wouldn't have thought it'd have much more than the 500c. Also an nfi extension, never come across that before.

Wiggy

That's about the same size as 7025 images. Think they also have nfi extensions. I think you flash it via the web interface.

YOu can flash via the web interface or by the new version of Dreamup 1.3.0.2. And yes it does take 28-29 mins via serial cable.

I read this on the pli site......

Now, if you really can't use dreamup (because you don't have a windows PC for instance), you could try the following:
login with telnet
mount /boot -o remount,rw
rm /boot/*
reboot

Now you've got a box which won't boot anymore, so the bootloader will accept new firmware.
Only do this if you have a way to tell which IP your box (via a router etc) got, after you reboot.
Because you won't be able to use your box again, untill you flashed an nfi, using the webinterface of the bootloader.

Flashing goes really fast, and is really easy, but before you attempt this, make sure your network works, you have a working DHCP server in your network, and you know which IP your box will get, because that's where you have to connect your browser to, in order to flash the new firmware.
