replaced the case - now problem???

My DS switches on for 2secs, then powers off ??
What to do next?
Have I damaged a ribbon/cable??

Any help?? please

Or I will have a disgruntled 5 year old later today??

I changed the cover on my sons DS last night and got exactly the same thing.

Check all the ribbon connections - especially the 2 smaller ones from the touch screen are fitting snuggly.

Also the ribbon connection where it connects to the pcb near the hinge- check its in square there is a white line on the pcb to help you line it up!!

Good luck - after a bit of checking my sons one works fine now so dont give up hope!!!

As said its the ribbon cable
And if it goes on then off prob
The min pcb connected to the speakers
And as said the small ribbon under the bigger 1
quite often slips so just check/ resit em 1 by 1
