Is it possible to take emus from dbox2 and using them in dreambox (enigma)?

If so, how?

Billy

Should be ok. On the dbox, go to /var/bin/emu or where ever the emu file is stored.

Copy it to your PC. Then connect to your dreambox and go to where the emu file is stored, usually same location.

Copy the file there and overwrite the file that's there. CHMOD 755 and that's it.

Make sure you are using another emu first, i.e. of you are changing the mgcamd file, switch to evocamd first.

I know it's probably not the right post to ask in but I have problems when I chmod a file.EG:Copied a service file via ftp: set chmod to 755,rebooted and the original file is still there. I am obviously missing something or doing something wrong. While here, where is the location of the cable scan file i.e. 6887 and bruteforce etc ? Any help appreciated and thanks.

A services file get not be executed and doesn't need 755.
Only the real programm files need 755.
The cables.xml is located in var/etc for a enigma image at a 500 box.
The services file in var/tuxbox/config/enigma .
