Wired I get around 1100Mbps and on VM1gig. Hopefully by the time my contract is up for renewal I will find an ISP with better upload

Hi guys iv'e been watching this thread and got a little annoyed about all the speeds peeps are reporting, iv'e very rarely had anything over 950Mbit/s on a GigaBit connection. Seems lots of peeps are getting 1100 + speeds..? Can i affect this or is it just geographical etc ?

what device are you using, remember if WiFi you wont get 1Gb if you are using 802.11ac, you need WiFi6 to acheive such speeds

You won't get true speeds over WiFi anyway. For a true speed you have to use ethernet.

Hi I have just seen this and the reason you wont get more than around 950Mbps is due to limitation of gigabit, in order to exceed these soeeds you will need a 2.5gb ethernet connection.

Luckily I got a superhub 5 which has 2.5gb port which means I can max out the connection and in future I could go as fast as 2gbps with no issue.

Over wifi the highest I have got through my Unifi Wifi 6 Lite access points is around 700mbps.

Here's mine
