Ah, the Messiah chip... So many horrific memories of taking these things apart.

So many memories of the greyish-blue fluff from the carpets and beds.

Are they sure they didn't need more wiring for the Messiah chip :D. There are a few more than the last time I fitted a Ps1 chip. :)

Ill be getting a car to match my penis size for my mid life crisis next..

a fiat 500

You can get memory card's that come with FreeMCBoot preloaded on them, and they're guaranteed to work in all models except for the SCPH9x000 models. If you have one of the original 'fat' models you can get SATA HDD adaptors that allow games to be played off the HDD as opposed to the DVD drive.

I got two hard modded ps2's with 176 games 80 original 96 backups for £72,

It'll do me for my mid life crisis....
ok so neither console works (they saw me coming) contacted ebay seller and he said "i never said they were working"
I guess the 176 games were worth not reporting him this time.....

I'm not one for confrontation.

You still can open a return as the the seller should of stated that the consoles where not in working order. I am quite confident that the seller will have to accept your return and give you a full refund plus postage and he will have to supply the returns label as well.

MY problem is i gave him positive feedback before i tested them out..... my mistake.

A good percentage of the time it's something to do with the drive. I've revived a few by just cleaning the laser unit sled bars and worm gear.

With them sitting on the floor most of the time fluff is sometimes to blame. It might be the laser unit itself, I wonder if they are still on eBay for £6.

Ask for a refund and will have to wait then ebay will step in , hold your guns you will win m8

All you need to do is open a return because the items are not as described.
The reason being that the seller did not explain in the listing that the consoles were not working and if he had done so you would not have bought them.
He will either except the return or he will wait until you ask eBay to step in and make a decision.
I am quite confident that eBay will side in your favour.
Also don’t pay for the return as the seller will have to supply a returns label or if he holds out for eBay to make a decision and they decide in your favour they will supply a returns label and bill him for it.
I find in these circumstances that eBay always look after the the seller.

My bad that was meant to say” I find in the circumstances that eBay always looks after the buyer“🙄
