Well, to try and keep kids occupied I dug Wii out of attic and fired it up. After all this time I shouldn't have been surprised that it failed to read any disks.
Cleaning laser no joy
Replaced laser...no joy

shall I bin it....no....I will have a crack at Homebrew and see if I can use usb.....lo and behold I got it to work.

Found a Wii Play ISO on DW and stuck on usb....great it works.....

Now here's the issue.

I've never used torrents and its been years since I used NZBs......so either is going to be a steep learning curve again

Anyone be kind enough to point me in the direction of some " Backup" Wii ISOs so I can put on USB...to keep the kids happy. ( and parents sane)

There's no steep learning curve to torrents mate. It's easy and a quick Google will show you that. I think you'll be hard pushed to find what you need outside of torrents or newsgroups. Torrents are free but you're best to use a vpn or risk getting an ISP letter. Newsgroups you'll have to pay for.

You could pay for premium membership and you would find more.

Or if you want to use nzb's download grabIt or Sabnzb, all you have to do is add your news server which is free if your on virgin but only has 30 day retention. Then google free nzb site's and have fun.

Just dug out an old Astraweb account I had and found I have 850GB yes GB. ....still left to use
