A number of boxes are doing this so thought i might ask before they all get updated,if i want to change to another channel i just press arrow down under ok button and select channel sometimes it changes quickly or if does not internal hdd spins up and get the spinning vix in top left corner, using multi sat and vhannibal settings and epg refresh.Cheers

The only time this happens to me is if my NAS drive becomes disconnected.
I guess its looking for a device for timeshift.

Is your internal HDD mounted properly?

Yes ext 4 and never used timeshift on any boxes.

Me neither mate but my NAS drive logs show the box is still looking for timeshift.

Its the only time it happens to me so i cant really help you much apart from where do you keep your picons? If you use picons of course.
Its always best to have them on the internal flash memory "share / enigma2 / picon"
And EPG on your HDD or removable device.

The HDD is formatted in ext 4 on E2 boxes.. Its the standard linux uses.

I like simple and dont bother with picons either,i do have a nas drive but dont see it in mounts on my et8000.
Curiously i used to have epg on usb when using 28.2 but with multisat and epg refresh i dont think it saves anywhere?

I use epg refresh for VM and it still saves the epg.dat file to media/hdd

Dont have cable so wonder if its the epg causing hdd to spin up and get spinning vix.

Where are you saving your epg to?
If its to the internal flash memory it could be eating up your memory.

That is what box is telling me but could have been used on fixed sat but would have been run on a daly basis but now switched off as no providers ticked.

I now checked further and see epg import source but i dont remember ticking anything and i dont use iptv and thats ticked also?

So your using EPG importer and not EPG refresh.
But even so you have the right location saved for your EPG "Media/USB"

Try unticking the sources that you do not use in epg importer...
Unless you watch the erotic channels 🧐 lol

i cant watch it on the 8000 as its only on 28.2,19.2 and saorview feeds, but no comment on the tm nano se running client of the solo2 on motorised and the 10000 on feeds:p:p:)
