Ok, so I'm Scottish and there might be a bit of inbuilt bias here, but am I right in thinking "Same old, same old".

Unless Southgate is prepared to think outside the box, (and as far as I know Alf Ramsey was the only one to have the courage to do it), England are going to suffer the usual fate.

Just sayin'.

We’ll suffer the usual fate no matter who’s in charge. The reality is that we’re average at best, even a bit shit to be honest.

I don't think that we have many alternatives, than what we saw yesterday, apart from Jamie Vardy.
I think that our best chance of scoring is to play Vardy Kane Sterling and Alli
Gareth seems intent on playing a back 5
I would therefore go 5-3-2

Trippier/ TAA Walker Cahill/Stones Maguire Young
Sterling Alli Delph/Henderson
Kane Vardy

I don't understand the inclusion of Welbeck and the exclusion of Wilshire.
We are definitely short of a central midfielder and we definitely don't need 5 strikers

Im more shocked that you're Scottish Nara. All the years i've enjoyed your trolling I never realised you were a fellow celt.

On the england subject, tbf they were ok first half and poor second half. Whilst they have good individuals, they dont have a good team. 1 or 2 injuries to key players and yet again it'll be all over.

I would of liked have seen Scotland,Ireland and Wales in the competition. Would have made even more interesting for me. But @gasman definitely hit the nail on the head regarding England....

Not sure why Adam “messi” Lallana has been left out [emoji23]

They are just not good enough they have some good players but are average at best as a whole

I just put a bet on Harry Kane to be top scorer.
If we score any goals and he is in the vicinity he will claim them.

I hope they do well and if they don't I hope the press don't give them too hard a time.
Good luck England

We won’t.
And they will.

Also could you please post a picture of your nose as you say these words.

Thanks

So I'm watching last night's game against Costa Rica and I thought, hey up!, Southgate might be onto something here like Robson in 1990, a team out the blue. Moving the ball quick, players willing to take people on, one touch football but this only lasted for a full 15 minutes.
We then settled down to our normal style of play. Players (bar Ratchford) unwilling to take people on, everyone scared to make a mistake so pass it backwards or sidewards is the best option. Henderson as the pivotal midfielder?, God help us. Rose couldn't go pass me. I'm sorry but it was the usual 75 minutes of the same, hard working and no one with the skills to unlock a side.
Some Prem managers have a lot to answer for, stifling the likes of Ratchford and Luke Shaw, top players been left out thier club sides therefor England suffer.
England win World Cup? I love the thought but to be honest there's more chance of me cracking Sly

?, Elland Road made Wembley sound like a Sunday mass. It's about time Wembley was taken away from some of England's games from a city were over 50% of the 18-24 year olds are not proud to be english probably because their Polish :)
