HDMI cable

Any decent hdmi cable around the £5-15 mark is fine. You buy a hdmi cable for £1 it might have poor build quality but will still work.

If you pay £1000 for same length as £5-15 cable I doubt you will notice a difference.

Either way you will get a picture and sound.

most of these cables were supplied with boxes and did work but quality of viewing sucks, the longest hdmi cable in use here is 25feet

hdmi cables transmit a digital signal, ones and zeros, they either work or dont..like a light switch..

Yes, but cheap one can pick up noise along the way and that DOES affect PQ- trust me I have seen it more than once. Funny thing was I saw it recently with a grossly over-priced effort a customer had bought at an airport (£40), it wasn't even that long lol! Airport barstewards knowing full well it would never come back on them, robbing scum.
It can look like a dying plasma screen, with random red, green or blue 'sparklies'.

It's more to do with the quality of the build rather than the cable. El cheapo can suffer from poor shielding. I use the super deluxe hdmi cables which cost around £2 - £3 and they perform admirably. :proud:

ive got lots of 99p ones from ebay/amazon/ebuyer etc when they some crazy deal...i also have a monster hdmi cable which was very expensive when the coame out first paid around £20 i think a few years back...the difeerence ive noticed watching tv on my samsung 42" led smart tv is.....absolutely nothing..i noticed no difference...but if your one of these tech geeks then i suppose youll find some readings that differ but average jo isnt gonna notice any difference..lol

Well I think the quality is improved using them (PC and xtrend) iv always used the hdmi cables provided with my equipment well the gold ones thinking there best, iv not really thought about the hdmi cables until I got a new TV and read there is a difference with good cables to cheap especially with upscaled pictures, but some good info if a bit conflicting

i was testing them on a 50" pioneer kuro and when close could see the issues and sitting back 13 ft looks ok.
