Is there way to check which version box is?
Except sticker which main doesn't have.

Hi gagox,
No offence intended here but surly you have been a member here since 2012 october and with all the threads and posts that say what the vu solo is inside with well explained info on what types there are, then surly you would know if its a older v2 or the later v4 and if its a lonrisen or a sunray, have a good read on the threads and i would think your question would be answered just by checking the older posts.
regards Talks.

Checking 33 pages, wow, that's something :D I bought my Lonrisun Solo 2 SE just a few months ago, and it came with BH 2.1.3 pre-installed, so I should safely assume it's a v4. But I will have a look at the thread just be on the safe side :)

If you have not long bought a Solo2 SE few months ago and it was brand new at time then it's possible it will support sunray solo2 safe images.

I would try one of those images and don't try v4 update for Solo2 SE clones.

Thank you Ketmp. But it does have the sticker "vu-hd.com" on it. Are you sure I may be able to use Sunray images?

Backup your current image first and store on USB or something.

No harm will happen if you download a Sunray Solo2 image because drivers in these images will have their drivers patched so not to cause clone bomb/brick situation.

Worst case is it refuses to fully boot-up in which case you can flash back to image you already backed up previously.

I will have a go, thanks for the tip :)

Well, I tried to update my Lonrisun Vu+ Solo2 Se with the "Black Hole 3.0.1 -OE 3- 2015-11-25-vusolo2-SunRay-ramiMAHER" file, but despite trying with no less than 4 different Fat-32 usb stick, I didn't even manage to start the update progress... May this be due to the fact the file is meant for "sim 2" Vu+ clones?

Why dont you just download from the site as described on the box sticker. Theres 3 different team images for you to try mate.

Suttsy

Hi, I was following ketmp's suggestion to try and load some Sunray's patched images on my Lonrisun Solo 2 SE clone box. But for some reason, it won't me allow to upgrade using the standard procedure

My bad, Ketmp was right. I managed to upgrade my solo 2 SE to BH 3.02 using a sunray image. Works like a charm Thanks Ketmp

hi, could you tell me how you did it ? how to install BH 3.02 in lorinsun ?

Well a sunray image will not run on your box so that is out of the question.
Of course it may, mine works just fine. I just followed Ketmp suggestion and I tried. Works like a charm, and as Ketmp said, some others did it before me.

My Lonrisun clone is a VU+ Solo2 Se - I just followed the "usual" upgrade process and it worked. But it only works with that model, older ones won't upgrade

k3nn518 quoted my message where I clearly stated "I managed to upgrade my solo 2 SE to BH 3.02 using a sunray image". I never claimed a standard Solo 2 could be upgraded, but a solo 2 SE like mine can :) . If k3nn518 has one like mine, he can have a go :)

Yeah in may you did say you had an SE i never read that far back.

violator, honestly, i'm a a bit lost here, could you tell me how you flashed your lonrisun with BH3.02 at first ? you used BH3.02 for sunray ? I tried it too but it won't be able to boot. I'm quite sure mine is lorinson v4 because it can run the latest openpli (I flashed it first with the old safe image then I upgraded it)

Hi

I have a VU+Solo2 clone (lonrisun). In flash memory I have installed a "safe image" OpenATV 5.3 (v4)

Can I use a original image like OpenATV 5.3 only on pendrive (usb - multiboot)?

Someone on other forum told me that if I have a safe image in flash, I can install original image on pendrive (multiboot) - is it true?
