Nowbox m9s - which firmware

I think this is another name for the openbox v8s

anyway got one that loads up to 93 then E001

which is correct firmware to flash via null model cable

manage to sort it out - flashing the new firmware via null modem didnt work so had to flash an old firmware then flash new firmware via USB

I have attached the firmware I used incase anyone gets same problem

flash the one with the ALLN in filename using null modem cable

Using null model cable flash this

OPENBOX_V8S_160525_ALLN_New_version

Once box is working and boots up, flash this file using menu and a USB flash pen plugged into box

OPENOX_V8S_3511HD_CMT_15081006B7

The above files are zipped so unzip them first

you flash both files, one using the null modem cable and the recovery software the other using the normal procedure

does the file that needs flashing using null cable need to be used through the erom upgrade tool or will it just flash using the unzipped file on its own ! cheers

Will this firmware work if I have a clone box? And how do I know if it is a clone? I bought mine in January this year and it cost me 45 quid.

the M9S is just a clone of the V8S so cant see an issue with flashing the firmware. Again do you at your own risk

This one works. Didn't have to use the second file. The first one works just using a USB memory stick. Great stuff jfish
