I have being given a MXpro Android box to look, and appears to need the firmware updating.
Does anyone have the latest firmware or have a link to the correct one, as so many, would I just need one for the s805? I did initially buy the firmware links from a site, but the links were dead, but I did get my money back.

See if this helps mate

Do you have any direct links for these?

Just make sure they are the correct ones for your box

It a case of nothing to lose, the box won't really do anything unless firmware updated so I've read.
I have the files downloaded, but unsure what I do with them, to get them onto the box?
I have gone into system update on the box, I assumed you just copy the files to sdcard and plug in, but there not been recognised?

Sorry having a blond moment, have now downloaded 7z extractor and loading files to sd card again. Hopefully something may happen.

Lucky you

I wouldn’t mind one of those

Well I've given up.
I'll tell my mate to buy a new box, much easier.
It goes to Android updating, then "Error! Finding update package..., opening update package..., verifying update package..., E:failed to open/sdcard/otacerts.zip(no such file or directory), E:signature verification failed, Installation aborted.

I think you need to unzip the files then add them to your sd card.

Heres a youtube vid

I have unzipped the files and added to sd card, but keep getting the same message. I looked at this video before, but the mxpro is slightly different as I cant find a reset button anywhere, but you can access the sd card via update in settings.

Did you use this file S805_MXPRO_AP6212_20160102-kodi15.2-588_img.7z as this seems to be the latest firmware.

I'm not 100% sure where this file goes? If I just add this to the sd card, nothing happens.

Make sure the file is on the root directory of the sd card otherwise the box can’t read it if it is on a sub-directory

Right I've sussed the files out and managed to update the firmware.
Next problem is the wifi is no longer working?

In setting, other, system updates, are there any available updates.

In setting, network are there networks to join.

No it doesn't list any to join. But I did read on other posts that wifi wasn't working once firmware upgraded.

Does it work if it is hard wired?
