I am snowed under with work today but will have time tomorrow when I will have time to respond to all your PMs and reconfirm the ranges. Thx.

Okay, I had to disable AVG to start CW Finder then switch it back on, so all started.

I am not posting any more info in this open forum from now on, switching to PM only.

Ok, I'm happy to tell that thanks to SU member marokino08 CW has been found.

But if it does contain something nasty, it will only cause problems if and when a hacker decides to use your PC. Or maybe I'm just over paranoid... :S

Valid point. Your PC may be at risk without you knowing it. It is so hard to tell, as AVG etc. are known to throw up false-positives.
If you're not sure either (1) use an old, offline PC that has nothing sensitive on it and / or (2) uninstall the s/w when you've finished with it & scan whole PC with malwarebytes or the like.
Nothing wrong with a bit of paranoia these days sadly.

Is it possible to get EPG and subtitle at this location?

Regards

ATTENTION, NEW CHANNEL COMING SOON,
I've just entered VPID 7001/APID 7002/PPID 7001 to a HD channel and there's a coming soon screen for new BBC HD channels. So I hope this is for CBBC HD and BBC Three HD , as they are now on 27.5 W and freeview. I was lucky to guess the PIDS, but how could we find pids for other channels of this bird, not mentioned on this thread?

There should be one other. I think BBC NEWS is taking the old Red Button feed. The two new ones are BBC3 HD and BBC4 HD with their associated kids channels during the day.

BBC THREE HD has a "coming soon" screen. It probably goes on air on 10 th December.

CBBC HD and BBC Three HD is now live!!!

The reason is because these channels are on different terrestrial multiplex. The channels on 27.5 W are on BBC A and BBC B multiplex of terrestrial TV. Freeview HD regionalised channel list | British Isles BUT BBC four HD, NEWS HD are on other multiplex.

Thank you that's really interesting, I wondered why they put BBC 3HD/CBBC HD on Astra 1N and BBC 4HD on Astra 2F.

Anyway, I rarely watch BBC 3 or 4 so having it in HD isn't really important to me. Nice to have BBC 3 HD on 27.5W just in case there is something good on though.

I understand what you have said, but I don't understand why. Why does the multiplex of the terrestrial transmission affect the need for a backup downlink feed?

Hoping we get all this sorted out, since in MY opinion BBC3 and BBC4, despite being more restricted in their availability 'timewise', they actually provide excellent programmes, much more watchable as 'entertainment' than for instance BBC News24 or some of the other channels mentioned in THIS discussion?

Yes, I tend to agree. Why do we need news in HD? Half the time it's shoddy uplinks from war-torn areas anyway.
