Instructions:
Skip to step 5 if you already have a backup NAND and your CPU key
1. Boot into XeLL (with the console turned off, press the eject button)
2. Copy CPU key down onto notepad (if you are connected via ethernet to your network, simply type in the IP address and
then copy the CPU key from there; if you are not, manually copy the code)
3a. If you are connected to the network page (for XeLL), click "download" next to the "Raw Flash" section
3b-1. If you are not connected to the network, run flash360 on your Xbox (place on USB drive and launch using XeX menu,FSD, etc)
3b-2. Press X to backup your NAND
3b-3. Once completed, exit the application
4. Power down the Xbox (and remove flash drive if you used flash360)
5. Launch XeBuild GUI 2.085
6. Click open next to source file and select your flashdmp.bin
7. Click save next to output path and select the root of your flash drive (save as updflash)
8. In the keys section, paste your CPU key
9. At the bottom right of the screen, press check KV (this makes sure the CPU key is correct and will properly build your image)
10. In kernel version, select 2.0.16197 (if not already selected)
11. Double check build type, motherboard, XeLL, and SMC Hack (JTAG ONLY)
12. Press "Generate $acked Image"
13. Once completed, unplug your flash drive
14. Plug your flash drive into the Xbox (with the console OFF)
15. Boot into XeLL (press eject button with the console off)
16. The image should begin to flash (rawflash v4 initiated, etc)
17. Once complete, power down the Xbox
18. Unplug flash drive
19. Power on the Xbox

Congratulations, you have successfully updated to dashboard 16197

nice find buddy I got two RGH consoles to do so will crack on and get this done tonite

up to part 15 on my rgh falcon.
when in xell, it does not run the rawflash thingy, updflash.bin is on the root of a fat32 mem stick in the front USB port, tried both.
any help?
can I just boot into FSD, launch flash360 and flash it with that?

updflash is the file to be uploaded. You need the program to upload it (xenon.elf). Stick to USB, no point wasting a dvd.

Rawflash 4 attached , extract before transferring to USB.

On the newer xell you dont need the xenon.elf file , cant remember which it is though lol , no harm in trying with the xenon.elf file though.

now its hanging on, "trying to make sense of uda, lets assume it's fat"
only things on the FAT stick are updflash.bin and xenon.elf

edit: renamed to nandflash.bin and it flashed :)

one last thing, my rgh boots straight into FSD.
how don I get it to run the new systemupate?
I have tried holding the RB when booting, it does go into NXE but ignores the update on the flash drive

To get out of FSD, I normally press the big button, settings, system settings and then accept yes.

Yes.

RGH 1/RGH 2/"JTAG" are only methods to load alternate firmware. The software posted only makes the firmware for you.

Make sure you select the correct settings for your console, model, type of hack etc.

is this dash update needed to play any new games or anything. all games working for me so far.

Not at the moment , if you need to update i can make the update image for you mate.Just need to give me the xbox serial number , as i have a copy of your nand dumps still.
