Laptop noises

Hey,

Got win7 on this laptop Acer btw. Problem i have is more annoying that anything else..

every few minutes it emits a sound which i can only describe as a sound like that of a Triangle (percussion instrument).

It does it id say every 1-2 minutes, its not very loud .. but is really getting on my wick been doing it for about 2 month now.. anyone else had this or know what could be causing it??

No errors showing up or out..

could be over heating try cleaning fans or putting on different surface

So its not good to have it on my lap?? lol..

Fans clear mate.. checked that.. also it seems to be coming from the speaker :S

Agreed, some machines emit a regular tone when the temp is in a 'warning' zone rather than a serious shut done zone.

Take it to the garage, slot 20p in the Air machine and blow it in through the CPU vent in short bursts.



And yes I am serious.
