Survival

Fancy going on a survival weekend. You know cook your own food get shown how to make fires sleep in the cold etc.
Trouble is everyone claims to be the best at doing them. Anyone been on one?
Looking for a good experience where you get to do everything for yourself. Not just get shown and then sleep in a ready made shelter.

Ray Mears' Woodlore company runs survival courses. Don't think he teaches them himself, but doubt he'd slap his name on if it wasn't in the spirit of the man himself (i.e. he probably inputs to the curriculum at least).
