I have no problem with Man City having a sugar daddy and spending as much as they want on whichever players they want to buy, or how much they pay them.
I do however have a problem with their loans.

They have already changed the Championship by loaning Bellamy to Cardiff and paying the majority of his wages.
Without City paying his wages there is no way any Championship team could employ him.
He is that good that he will win a lot of matches for Cardiff that they wouldn't win without him.

They also have a number of top players on big wages that they are planning to loan out to Premiership team, but these loan players cannot play against Man City.
Can you imagine Given, Bridge, Richards, Barry SWP etc all playing against every other team in the Prem, but not Citeh.

Hardly fair, and I don't think it will be long before the Premier League outlaw loan deals.

that's what happens when money goes to your head mate what goes up must come down and man-city will come down with a bang as all that money they have spent they have no chance of even winning the league never mind europeans tittles..but i do like man-city just dont like the way they are run

lucky cardiff is wot comes to my mind ...
i bloody wish bellamy would of come to bolton wanderers !
he wudda fit in nicely there

They should make loans only for players aged 21 or less that way its for first team experience.

I agree bellemy is a good player and should of gone to the spuds.

Sugar daddies are killing the game, but who cares as long as you are winning lol

Mick

I didnt think premier clubs could loan players to other premier clubs except in extreme cases! Goalie cover etc?

Scrap that! Just googled! They can loan upto 2 players max!

I think its the players and referee's that are killing the game.

There is too much cheating by the players nowadays, diving falling over and feigning injury. Along with referee's blowing up and handing cards out for shoulder barging and basically every tackle that happens. Its going to be non contact soon!!

i'd have to agree mate. the game has become to slow of late with all the diving and free taking. there will be a lot of standing around like american football soon enough.

they absolutely ruining the game...how would they have bought all those players and payed their wages with the kind of income they generate??? 3years ago nobody even cared about them and now all you hear is city this city that...forcing teams to sell them their best players by offereing them obscene wages and stuff but wont sell their "unwanted" players to other clubs...pure arrogance..just cant wait for that wonderful day i will wake up and there would be news that these oil guys have had enough fun now and as such moving onto their next project, (maybe buying a whole country next haha)...Leeds United will be heaven!

The same thing got said with Chelsea when they came in to money an bought the league. It'll be another team in another 3-4 yrs.
To much money and greed in the game!

Only what other millionaires/billionaires have done previously. Everyone buys the title. Its simple economics. Good luck to them I say, although I doubt mancini will be there at end of the season.

James Milner has completed his move to Manchester City from Aston Villa on a five-year deal.

City have also announced that Stephen Ireland has moved to Villa Park as part of the deal, reportedly worth £26m.

Milner, 24, will not be able to play in City's Europa League game at FC Timisoara but is available for Monday's Premier League visit of Liverpool.

i wonder who we will sell them next season, to be honest milner is a great player but i feel we got a very decent player back oh and 24 million

What a waste Bellamy going to Cardiff. He's quality premier player for sure. Had a great season last year as well.

He wanted to stay close to his family and had always dreamed of playing for his home side, You cant fault the man reguardless of ability .

Ozil moves to Real for half that amount. Twice the player that Milner will ever be. The EPL is like a looney house when it comes to transfers. Average players going for crazy money.

I totally disagree Just because the young gun they call Ozil had a fantastic World cup and had sucess with the German under 21 team in the past,What makes him twice the player that milner is?

Can you explain a little more

It's definitely changing the game but not so sure about killing it. Come on without all the investments would the premier league be the best or one of the best leagues in the world?

There needs to be rules applied for sure but not having sugar daddies shouldnt be one of them... I wouldnt mind if one came in and invested in Everton! lol

EXCELLENT point IF a sugar daddy invested 500million into the club that you support would you be moaning in a sports sub section on a forum???????

I rest my case

PP your perfectly entitled to disagree there is no law against it and I may be wrong but time will tell.

I enjoy players who have a great work ethic, pace, guile and vision to unlock a defence. I think he has all those traits. Ozil was a very good player in the Bundesliga last season. His performances in the World Cup the very top level of the game, were in the main, excellent. He had the very top clubs chasing him and the guys game should only improve.

Personally I think Milner is nothing other than a decent player. Work ethic is good decent pace but personally I dont think he offers much more and for a fee, which has a value of £24m, I would want more than that. I suspect Man City have bought him due to him being English.

The problem is that sky have you believe that the EPL is the best and only league in the world. Personally I dont think it is and I would much rather watch a La Liga game or even most Bundesliga games. I enjoy the quality of football on show better. Most of the best players in the EPL are foreign. Anyone who watched the WC could see that.

I dont support any EPL teams. There are some great games and very good English players like Cole, Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney (the best for me is still Scholes - genius at work) but after that I personally think they are mostly average.

I am old enough to remember real class like Booby Moore, Charlton, Greaves, et al. When your paying circa £24m for a guy like Milner I think its lunacy but thats the madness of the EPL and the Sheikhs with their money to burn. As Greavsey would say "its a funny old game".
