I know the daft Yanks call it soccer and they call something that is played with your hands football...:err:.........BUT we are talking about the EPL, which is football...so why say they have soccer highlights....FFS changing Opal fruits to Starburst and Marathon to Snickers was bad enough but leave our football along you cnuts.

Yahoo soccer highlights kick off

Internet services firm Yahoo has launched its Barclays Premier League online highlight service.
It will show highlights clips of top-flight games in a three-season multi-million pound deal from 2010 to 2013.
Yahoo says it has attracted video advertising from firms such as Adidas, Heineken, BT and Sony Pictures.
Weekend match highlights will go online after midnight on Monday morning. Midweek games will go on just after midnight the next day.

As soon as i saw the thread title i knew it'd be you lol .............

And totally agree with you.

What about Bob Bradley managing in the EPL... something a bit creepy about that lol, sure I'd get used to it. At the end of the day all English people will never ever call it soccer so let the yanks get on with it because we aint moving on this one. I think when it gets more popular over there then the hardcore fans will probably start calling it football too...

I still call StarBust Opal Fruits... always will, I don't give a sh*t if it confusses shop keepers who have glass cabinet counters :)

This image sums it up, lol.

yep, soccer is the correct (English) name for what jaffa calls, football. soccer football, rugby football. as with rugby, we have, now, simply dropped the "football". soccer, apparently, is a contraction of the word association. association football being the original name of the game. either way SOCCER is the correct term for the game.

odd how the CORRECT English word seems to pee so many off.
