Shrek has a blast at the England supporters who'd travelled miles, spent shedloads to get there to see England play, then he, and the rest of the team played sh1t, and he turns on the supporters on telly! What an arse!

Yeah ITV aired this....he seems to forget that they are there to support but they also need something to cheer about esp when they make that journey off their own back. Rooney forgets that if a team plays like a shower of shit and looks like they aren't even trying then that team will get booed - it happens. The hope is that'll gee them into life. I hope the fans turn on Rooney for the next match and Rooney's every touch is booed, if Beckham can catch stick for a couple of years when he got sent off then Rooney's little outburst should cop him some for the next match at least - then he might actually score a goal.

I've never agreed with boooing players its just pathetic!

Does it achieve anything? For me not really if anything puts them under more pressure!

Rooney should have just kept his mouth shut especially after his performance but fans shouldn't boo its wrong in my opinion.

Why, the fans have paid a lot of money and travelled a huge distance. If they are not getting what they deserve then they should vent their discomfort and let them know that they should get the fucking finger out.

I hope the players today take a good long hard look at themselves and think about the traveling fans and come out with at least a bit of desire wether they go through or not and i hope they do go through.

its easy for these players to forget that the fans probably only earn a fraction of what they earn in a year what the players get per week.
 
If the fans are silly enough to travel miles to follow a severely over rated bunch of players then thats their own fault. Its the fans who threw the dummies out so one of the teams players did the same.

The sooner fans realise the EPL is the greatest league in the world due to the foreign influence of players bought in, the sooner they will come to realise the so called great English players are near enough crap and made to look good by the teams they play in.

There are very few real superstars in the world who can perform with or without their team on top form, but they can be counted on one hand.

As for Rooney, he is a great player for Manchester United because he has talent around him who know how to get the best out of him and no one here can disagree he will always give his all for club and country. But when you got a midfield as shite as ours who cant get a decent cross in to him or Heskey then I'm sure like the fans his frustration boiled over too.

Fans pay to see professional footballers, who get paid to do a job. if they are not doing the job then they need to face the music. If you were running a company and members of the public complain then you do something about it. so fans have got the right to complain when their team perform like amateurs.

maybe instead of having a go at the fans, greetin' face Rooney should have a word with himself and his team mates. and if he does not think fans have the right to complain, maybe he should donate his wages to some of the charities in Africa. because last night he and most of the England team took money under false pretenses.

time to stand up and be counted not moan like a feckin bitch cause you and your team were shit.
 
I normaly come down on the side of the players but having watched that performance then the fans and press have a right to have a go.
Very poor and they are cheating their fans.
They dont deserve it.

it seems your opinion is you don't think it is right for fans to boo players but you are quite happy to go on websites and slag them off. bit of double standards in my opinion. the boos will fade away but slagging them off on websites can always come back and bite you on the erse.
 
I like the way the Man U fans come out on Rooneys side after a perfomance like he gave.You can try and blame it on the midfielders but ITV put together about 10 clips of him getting the ball and losing it straight away. If i had been playing that night no way would i have passed to him.I'm not saying the midfield were not sh**e, the whole team were but to say he never got the ball is bollocks. Mind you thinking about it he never did get the ball although he was given it a lot

There was no doubting he was poor against Algeria, dont think any manchester united fan is disputing that. Just pointed out that the whole team were shite, Rooney is scrutinised more than others as he was seen as Englands saviour despite the fact 11 players are on the pitch.

I find most England fans to be pathetic, they're just as bad as the media. Did anyone actually believe England had a chance at winning the World Cup? Have they not seen the other teams in the World Cup or did they think they were going to the United Kingdom Cup in which case they would probably still struggle against the Irish, Scots and Welsh.

As said before, instead of moaning when the team underperform try actually supporting them instead of creating even more pressure than they are already under. And live up to a reputation of serious cup contenders believed only by England fans and hyped only by the media and anyone looking to benefit from the world cup be it financially or in view of selling papers when the team fall on their arse.
 
Your saying the whole team are shite, We have conceeded one (dodgy) goal, You cant win the cup without scoring goals and so far our only goal has come from a midfielder.

Why because they have a team of 11 excellent individual players who consistently let them down when it matters ? Because they boo a team which is playing so far beneath themselves that it's not even funny ? I'll say to you what I said to someone else, you wanna try going to South Africa yourself before you lambast the England fans who made the journey out there.

As for England's chances of the World Cup.....we still have a chance however improbable it seems at the moment since any team in theory can beat any other team and we are still in the competition and as shit as we've been the fact still remains that while we haven't won yet - we haven't lost a single game either. Look at Spain, they looked awesome the other day, yet they've lost a game and they're having to beat Chile to go through. So even the favorites are struggling.
