High res pictures of the Gulf of Mexico

sh*t have just had a look at a few of them pictures, very shocking, i think BP are not trying hard enough to stop the oil.

They cant do any more than they are doing m8. It will take till August for the 2 relief wells to be drilled in order to have the leak plugged.
lessons have to be learned here.
BP is a multi national company and is British in name only.
The Americans are as much to blame as their lust for cheap oil is what drives this deep sea drilling.
They are looking for a scape goat and their treatment of Hayward was embaracing to say the least.
Every man and his dog is going to try and claim compo from BP and kill the company in my view. This is in turn going to fook up a lot of pension funds in future years.
 
cant believe they didnt have a stockcock type thing fitted incase something like this happened
 
They did and it failed
The valve manufacturer may be to blame here
 
Just another reason to push forward with moving away from fossil fuels.
Trouble is we are all addicted to the continued use of such messy fuel sources, to some degree we are all responsible. I'm trying to teach my kids we need to start using better forms of fuel that don't have such a harsh impact on the environment.

And then you drive your kids to school or other activities.
Not having a go but as you said we all depend on fossil fuels.

The pics are horrid the ones before and after the pelicans are washed really shows how bad it is...
