I think there's a black n decker inside Gav, I don't think it's built by Dewalt.

Jackel - You'd be better off sticking a posi bit on the end of your index finger and then rotating on the spot wearing your dancing shoes (ghee under your shoes would help as you're a bit on the well built side)

I did a drill shootout a few weeks back only cos I'm a hardcore builder, and found that the pro Dewalt to have the best motor and gearbox followed by the Makita and then the Ryobi. The pro Dewalt is so damn silent and smooth I'd love to own one, but due to financial restrictions the Makita will suffice.

The Makita is one fine drill with plenty of power through the different gears, the Ryobi has more power but is just too damn heavy for prolonged use plus it's batteries run out quicker than the time it takes hoppy to eat a burger.

The cheapo Dewalt was just plain average, I'm surprised that Dewalt would put their name to such a drill. Buy the Makita if you're in the market for a drill, cos Munkey say's so ;)

is that the makita that i linked to for £80 a couple of months ago?

ive read other people saying its better than this DeWalt, quite glad i nipped in and got the Makita now!

Yep that's the one. £80 with the two batteries and charger. I've dropped it from 10' a few times and it still works like new.

I'm using this for the heavy stuff.

NuTool?

i've heard of that make is it any good mate?

i've currently poakled my dads DeWalt 24v SDS badboy for doing some work the now

I really rate that Nutool drill mate. It's around 3 years old and has been abused with muck, water, dirt and just about anything else that you can throw at it. For professional use at around £60 new, it really cannot be beaten.
