no sound while playing mkv

i transfered a mkv file to the box as its been reported that these play better than anything thro media player,it did no jerky ness and the quality was excelent ........the only problem there was no sound???? checked all the audio settings,downmix was on but still no sound??
any ideas?

is the audio track in dts?

I dont think it plays dts audio.

You can convert the file quickly using mvk2vob and click always transcode dts to ac3.

There might be another way but that method should work

If you are using the dream elite image try installing the beyonce 6 skin. Reportedly fixed the problem for others

hi mark i did wot Rodbouy suggested and downloaded the latest mkv2vob , it didnt take that long to convert it either and it worked like a dream ,but will also try out your idea as well thanks
