Sony confirms PS3 Freeview PlayTV price

Sony has confirmed its PlayStation 3 Freeview device will launch in the UK on September 19 at a retail price of £69.99

The PlayTV add-on was originally due to launch on September 10, but Sony has said it will now arrive nine days later.

Sony said the device will allow "recorded content to be transferred to your PSP, or viewed remotely with Remote Play - something we reckon will come in quite handy".

PlayTV will transform a PS3 into a digital recording device, allowing users to watch Freeview channels, as well as offering them the opportunity to record programmes onto the PS3 hard drive, even while playing games.

I was going to get it until I found out you cant move the data recorded on the ps3 hardrive to a usb device or to your pc!!!!!!! wots the bloody point might as well just use a DVD recorder.
