which hard drive

hello guys - ive got a toshiba m35x laptop, but has no hard drive...the caddy is still there..but dont know what type of hard drive i should be looking for ?...i understand its a 2.5"....but which type....ie, SATA, ATA or IDE...it looks like it just slots into the side of my lappy as i can see inside it...

not 100% but quick look on google says ide, google exact model and make sure though 1st

thanks, but looking at the these ide laptop hard drives they have 44 pins sticking out at the back...22 on the top row and 22 on the bottom.......how does this then connect to the bit in my picture....which has 44 contacts..22 at the top and 22 at the bottom...and seems like some kind of male connector which should fit into some kind of female socket....or...do the two rows of pins (ie 22 pins on each row) of the hard drive just sit on the top and botom of the connection in my laptop....hope im not confusing cos i dont want to end up with wrong one..lol
