I just read a story about how a school in the UK is banning young ladies (aka jaffa cakes) from coming to school with fake tans. Since there are around 10 fake tan shops near where I live I was thinking about the effect this would have on the economy in our current climate? :)

If they stop sporting their lovely fake tans they may also decide that they don't care for their fake designer handbags with matching moody hollywood sunglasses. How about all that revolting bling on show on their orange bodies in the form of moody Gucci diamond earrings.

I find this show of 'fake' wealth disgusting. All these girls that prance around in their moody gear surely lack self esteem.

Possibly the male equivalent is when young blokes spend more money doing up a car than what the car is worth?

I can only chuckle when I see people sporting a ton of moody gear*.

*Moody Dreamboxes from China do not count.

Moody?

Young women these days are running around like 6 year olds pretending to be something they're not, it's ok for a 6 year old as that's part of growing up but it's not ok for a 22 year old.

Even worse is the jaffa cake fellas.

Or the mothers that go out partying with their daughters and dress the same and still think they are 18.

That's so true, a few modern men are borderline gay and its completely plus it's crossing over into lad culture. Supposed mens magazines like FHM promote the moisturiser generation.

People have become so obsessed with looks that individuality and personality are become extinct.

I find that cheesy and a turn on at the same time, especially if the outfits are matching :)

Dont see whats wrong with spray tan alot safer than using sunbeds. My partner is a qualified spray tan technician only does it part time thou main job with the council. I get her to spray me as iam very pale i only get the 8% which is not dark and looks pretty natural

I wonder if there are any negative side effects of having that stuff sprayed onto your skin? Have there been any studies to show the long term effects of covering your body in fake tan spray? Your mrs will know as she is trained in this area.

The main concern is young ladies of school age, adults can do what they like.

I have to say that fake tans are fairly obvious and do stand out to me.

I actually think munkey is onto somthing here. How can it be "good" for the body/skin to cover yourself from head to toe in anything. Must clog up all the pores in your skin, god knows what this then leads onto but my guess would be bad skin, lack of sweat (that isnt actually a good thing) and probably many more things like spots ect. Im not syaing this is "fact" but I have wondered in the past what the effect could be.

I don't mean to be a dick, but im going to anyway.

'Spray tan technician'?

LOL.

When I have a pull, I am not a w@nker. I am an 'erectile spermatozoa effusion facilitator'.

What a challenge nail the daughter first, then the mother or vice versa.Personally i aint fussed either way, quite partial to the older woman, late 40's early 50's.

I am sorry mate but do you mean how do yo prove that your tan is real?

thats my point say you come back for your 6wks school hol's after being, say ibiiza, and you have a good tan, then the teachers accuse you of it being false and threaten to send you home. How would they prove it?

try rub it off?

(i know it's a bit extreme)

it reminds me of my old high school, if your hair was too radical then you would be suspended.

I think the old licked finger run down the pupils face should do the trick. It wouldn't work in the street however as some stranger might not like the finger being wet.

I think we're from the same generation, we weren't allowed funky hairstyles at school either, happy days.

Creosote used to have the same affect , I think it is banned now .
I was once a brush technician ! ( well I creasoted my shed )

Thats statement just cracked me up, LOL he was such a big smack head back in them days. His GF Jackie was pretty hot IIRC.

Personally I dont think this is a PC issue. I think that all this fake tan lark is showing us that we are obsessed with how we look. Its plain stupid in my eyes, no need for it at all. I wouldn't even place it in the same category as make-up which some shelias most definitely need!

but girls now wear earrings the size of hula-hoops, ok this a health and safety issue - i agree.
make-up, tan - what harm? (except for cleaning bills on white blouses)
