50 ELITE 8X Speed Dual Layer DVDs £13.09 DELIVERED

For that price I'm willing to find out :)

Just ordered 50 :)

Cheers mate.

Dammit i bought a pack of 10 from the computer fair a couple of weeks ago and they cost me about a fiver. I would get some but i hardly use dl so 10 is enough to last

seen this deal on hotukdeals, apparently these use RICOHJPN-D01 dye same as the Aone cheapo discs. This is also one of the most faked media dyes on the market so the likelyhood your getting genuine Ricoh dye is low.
A lot of people have had good resilts with the Aone discs but the general consensus is that RICOHJPN-D01 is poor quality (unless you get the orignal branded Ricoh discs).
Personally I have had no success with this dye on Aone discs using a Pioneer 111D with latest 2.19 firmware, so far 5 coasters from a pack of 10 generally fail at the layer break 50-58% complete.
Check out cd freaks for posts about RICOHJPN-D01 not very well regarded high error rates on scans etc. Might be worth a gamble at 13 quid, I wouldnt bother trusting any important data to them though....

So I take it these would be no good for 360 bakcups then??

Your 360 will most likely stop reading discs if you use this kind of media over time.

Ive using datawrite titaniums for the past 2 years on both my 360s, they are half as cheap as verbs but have done the job so far without any probs what so ever. Seeing as these are even cheaper it might be worth looking into but like you say and from what I have been reading people should be warned not to use these for 360 backups, they are ok for just backing up data but besides that nothing much more. Nice cheap find though matey thanks

Bought a box, will let know how they compare to my usual Aone's I get from SVP.

AONES are perfect in my machine mate, siome machines don't likie them and some do, it's pot luck really.

If these are half as good as AONES then I'll be delighted at this price.

Only thing to do is buy a few and test them.

@ Demonx.....

I've used Aones and similar dirt cheap discs from the day i bought my console, it's a 1st generation machine and it's still going strong.

@ gsmtech.....

Pity that mate, I use a Pioneer 110 and 115, the AONES give me perfect results everytime.

It's intresting how some people get good results from Aone discs, it could just be that I have a bad batch, which judging by cheap media is fairly common i.e: hit and miss on whether you get a good batch or not the dye type tends to change regularly with cheap media, more worrying is the fact that there are so many cheap discs with fake MID's i.e most of the discs labelled as RICOHJPN-D01 are actually fake.
I have another spindle of Aone's thats unopened might give them a try, but im convinced theyre poor quality media they may burn a 360 backup that boots, but what will a error rate scan on the burn show ??? Almost defiitely nowhere near as good as quality media such as verbatims etc..

its all down to Pioneer writers l think .. never had a cooster and do games for a m8 who has a benq and his r fine too .... aones everytime

valid point, I havent tried on a different writer, my 2nd machine has an optiarc writer might try the Aones in that drive.
Also it appears the Aones I have are labelled Aone Plus, full face printables, anyone know the difference between the Aone plus and standard Aones theyre both DVD+R DL with the same RICOHJPN-D01 dye or so it appears ?

lol, I wouldn't dare try and compete an AONE against a Verb mate, lol

I reckon I'm just lucky, there's a few factors in play.

1. Quality of the Batch you have.
2. Quality of the burner you have, remember not all drives give the same results (even same model drives).
3. Make/Model and condition of the 360's drive.

My own drive is a Sammy 25, my mate has a Benq and my son in law has a Hitachi, my bro-in-law also has a Benq, luckily the AONES work well in all these particular machines, one of the Benq drives however was fussy with one batch that I bought, it would generate random disk read errors whern burnt at 8x, after slowing down to 4x the machine read the discs fine.

I'm just glad I'm one of the lucky people that can use cheap discs :)

I havent even got as far as testing them on the 360 I cant get a successful burn on an Aone at 2.4x !
I can burn Ridiscs fine and these work fine in the 360 Hitachi v78fk. I've probably got a bad batch or my writer doesnt like them.

wow, that's errr...worring.

My old Pioneer 112 did that with AONES, turned out to be faulty, SVP replaced it with the 115.

dudes to be honest with u guys they are so chaep at that price deliverd so its defo worth a try what u got to lose if they dont work in xbox u can use them for other things im sure?

peace

bilals

Mine arrived today, so far I've only burned 2 discs and both worked perfect in my Sammy MS25 360 and bro-in laws Benq machine.

:)
