starview 1 wont boot up? just a running line

just tried to flash a old starview one using gtrom and the clonesafe cryptstar clonsafe flash everything looked ok but then i got a download flash fail message

Now the box wont even boot up so i cant flash it are anything when i turn it on i get the loading lines running across the front but it never loads

I take it i have to load a new bootfile can someone help please

First of all are you sure you have a clone starview box ! If so you need to flash the box again using the crypstar clone image 2.57e ok. If original box use the crypstar 1.4 4.00e image . If you cannot get the image to load, try and use another PC . I had problems uploading to Starview and Digivox from my everyday PC and had problems. I loaded up all the software and cables to my second PC and Hey presto !

thanks for your reply i eventually got the flash sorted however the pictures freezes after 5 mins but it does this with both the 4.00 e image and the clone 2.57 so i just think the box is fucked as the previous ones ive fixed work no problem

hi mate

can you help i wonder?

my box starts up with lines going across the lcd then sits with last line still illuminated and nothing else happens is this what yours did?
ive tried flashing without success just flash fail all the time as if box wont talk.

please help
