[DM500C Clone] DVB500 - Weak tuner

I have 2 DVB500's here both flashed with DW 2.0

One with an curved dark 'window' and one with a straight Line 'window' on the Fascia

Of all the boxes Ive seen (about 15) the Arched ones are better.

That aside, the tuner on this 'straight' one is garbage.

Get most channels fine and in sync with the Arched one, put on the staright one and its Out of sync or not displaying certain sports channels.

Does the box have any hope? Feed is split, so I might just get rid and use the better box.

for the sync issue try turning the fast zap off,it should sort out your problems

Hi all, I had this problem with weak signals on some 500c's and when I investigated, took them apart for a look, I found that some have soldered pins connecting tuner to main card and others had pin headers that pull apart, the ones with headers were the ones with weak signals, I took them apart and cleaned and lubricated the pins with WD40 and all are now fine. Every one I've done this to has no problems with signals now, spy sport 2 and 3 are the ones that you seem to lose. So give it a try if you're out of warranty, it worked every time for me.
