DigitalWorldz Dream 2.1 wont flash

hey all,

trying to flash the 2.1 image onto my 500c but i recieve this error message:-
"dw.img" is not a firmware that can be installed in flash.
It is too big for flash memory, try to install it in multiboot mode.

Im using flashwizard Pro 6.3 which ive used to flash plenty of other images.
was wondering if I should use dreamup with a serial cable?

that all i used dreamup, flashed np mate

yea i only ever use dreamup now mate, hav had too many issues flashing it any other way.

not worth the hassle of having to end up using dreamup anyway

Try this:

ftp the image to the dreambox \tmp then telnet in and paste:

cd /tmp && eraseall /dev/mtd/3 && cp dw.img /dev/mtd/3 && reboot

Thats my preferred method of flashing as my dreambox and pc are in different rooms.

Yes it does!

It autoscans for new channels on the transponder that you are using as do most enigma images (it's on by default)

What do you mean by update itself ?

I just meant that you dont have to update the box manually when they have been rolled.

dreamup sorted it fella'
