....is this any good??

Ive just taken AVG off as i always seem to get spyware and virus' so ive 'bought' norton 360 and ad-aware pro, hopefully this will sort my pc out from getting trashed my shit off foreign mp3 sites.

if any1 can recomend anything better then lets hear it? im always up for helpful advice.

You bought it....wow....lol

Personally I wouldnt have Norton anywhere near my stuff, it is a resource hungry git. Everyone will give you there own personal opinions on antivirus progs but I use McAfee because it is unobtrusive and I have 5 pc's using it and none have had viruses.

ive noticed that my pc is laggin a bit, might see what its like for a week or 2 n if not ill 'buy' mcafee

symantec corp is the best - and yes it is a legal version

Before anyone flames him, hes not talking about norton.

Hes talking about this -

I had this, and it was good until NOD32 was installed, and i've stuck with it. Ironically symantec corp was the only decent thing they've made. You would think they would start integrating it into their norton products.

m8 i'd stay well clear of Norton 360. I installed it on my pc last year and basically it went very slowly. Previous to that i used McAfee for 2 years. Replaced Norton with McAfee last year after a month or so and things back to normal. Bought McAfee again this year as well, no problems at all.

i had norton 360 for a year and didnt slow my laptop down, now using bitdefender, i like all in ones so its all in one package and not different AV programs like one for adware/spyware/viruses etc.

i used to like norton in teh early days but it hogs far too much resources

imagine trying to run vista ultimate and norton 360 at once you would need a super computer!!

Cheers

i had vista and 360 and was fine.

i ano they work well together but for everything to work great like the combination of AVG and Xp then you would need a brill comp :)

Personally I wouldnt touch norton or mcafee. You should google the anti-virus league and see which came top. I use kaspersky myself, uses little resources, and blocks everything, never had any issues with it.

I agree completely with that... However, and I refused to believe it myself, when I looked a few months ago, Norton was top of the charts, above NOD32 and Kaspersky... Unbelievable...!
