Was in Hermiston gate today and noticed a new system for parking has been put in place for the retail park which has B,Q halfords JJB sports Currys ect and soon a tesco. The parking is now managed by cameras on the way in and out. 2 hours max is allowed with no return within 2 hours or its an £80 fine. Fook me you could be in the retail park visiting a few shops shopping and be over 2 hours and get fined for shopping. What a fookin rip off.
I think shoppers should boycot this retail park. Its totaly out of order,

Ninewells Hospital in Dundee has cameras in the carparks.

Senario: If I pay for a ticket and still have time left on it by the time I return, I would give my ticket to someone entering the carpark as a good will gesture.

They have started to look out for this and issuing parking fines to anybody seen accepting a valid ticket from another person.

Its beyond belief!

M8 nothing is beyond belief any more least not the fact that this government has got their heads in the sand!!!!
what has it got to do with the government? The parking wardens operating in the car parks etc are rent-a-traffic-wardens, not police traffic wardens.

Baaheeduk, you are right about giving others your ticket. Its a good thing to do and I dont understand why parking attendants wont let you do it.

I'm not sure that the Government is in direct control of Edinburgh car parks!

(..and if Gordon Brown doesn't do something to sort out this sh*t weather, I'll be voting Tory next time!)

Indeed, if Gordon Brown doesnt stop the seagulls from picking open the trash bags in the wheelie bin at the end of the road on a sunday morning, I to will also be voting against him.

this has been in place in grimsby for a while now , and 1 retail carpark has a rear entrance to it and people have been fined even though they left on time( by the rear entrance) cos cameras at front did`nt pick them up !!! on appeal some people have had the ticket binned !!!

well, it is a hospital...

but you would think they would let blue badge holders go free they dont i saw them bill old disable man 20 quid fine .
but thats just ninewells i know what does this

I think that was my point, maybe poorly made - it is a hospital, and likely to have many more blue badge holders there than anywhere else.

I have never visited Ninewells, but I know it is a very busy cancer reasearch facility.

i asked one day they said its for the up keep of carpark now thats mad

its better that the hospitals manage their own carparking fees for maintenance instead of it coming out of the budget for the NHS...
