Does Platini dislike England

Is it just me or does French Legend Platini have a problem with England. Firstly he says he doesnt think England should get a World Cup. Then the Euro's will be better without England and they wont be missed. I now read in the papers and online at BBC Sport that he wants teams who are in debt to be banned from the Champions League. (a definate pop at the Premiere Leage).

How can a man in charge of UEFA, who's job it is to oversee everything to do with Football be allowed to blatantly slam England week in week out. At first I thought it as the papers being mischevious but there is to much being said for it all to be paper talk.

Time for him to do his job properly by being diplomatic, fair, honest and without bias.

P.S Dont get jealous that England are dominating the Champions League. All English Final in 2008/2009. You heard it hear first.
 
He does seem to have something against england, maybe thats why he picked a Scottish No2, then again
you tend to find most of Europe has something against england, maybe jealous of the premiership?

Well what did you expect...he is one of Sepp Blatters boys. Blatter wanted Johannson out because he liked England and now we have Plattini and Blatter busting our balls.

Fek them, CL would be piss poor without English teams as it would if he wanted Spanish teams banned because of debt. They created this monster called the CL to make maximum amounts of money but hate it when most of it goes to England.
 
If he doesnt want premiership teams in the champions league then its probably down to his idea of fair play. I know in europe there is a certain amount of consternation when it comes to the premiership - they are sick and tired of english teams being better etc. But they dont seem to bind the Real's, AC Milans and Juventus's etc.

I think his comments about England not deserving a world cup torunament or a european championship tournament are down to this concept of countries with struggling teams being given a chance. Yes, it does mean places like Poland and the Ukraine get to compete on the international level - but whats the point? They are going to go out early anyway.

IMO, UEFA and FIFA should just administer the sport, not decide wholesale about how each country should operate its leagues.

Remember him in the CL final he just loves the limelight the tosser.

Its a problem when you get ex players in for the top dogs job these jobs should be left to others!

the likes of Ukraine etc getting finals is all good if they have the facilities to accomadate big games, South Africa for example havent started building stadiums yet i heard on the radio the other day so FIFA are thinking about a " PLAN B" lets hope they dont have to but if it does happen they'll look fooking stupid and sepp should resign

I am not sure if I like the idea of places going to countries like that. It hardly seems fair when other countries, who possibly cannot afford the infrastructure to support a tourney like this have to play football (gasp, shock, horror) in order to qualify.

If they wanted to be totally open for all, then FIFA should help fund stadia as well as UEFA when it comes to europe. Otherwise its all guff.

When it comes to Sepp Blatter, well, if SA dont pull it off, then some questions need to be asked. However, the same thing was said about Greece prior to their olympics also but they managed to pull it off in the end.

Ukraine have also said they probably wont be ready for next Euro's so they may have to change that also. Why they chose Poland only God knows, they have massive racist problems and hooliganism is rife.

just read that FIFA have a £400 million contingenency in place to help them with the stadiums etc

agree havent Poland just been fined for fans showing racist banners etc in the Turkey game, so this does seem strange
