Hi

Well Germany are through to the final, dont deserve to be on tonights perfomance and if they play like that in final will get beat.

The Turks were the better side overall, Germany had a stonewall penalty denied only to be levelled out by a howler from the once great goalkeeper Rustu.
Spain or Russia will beat the Germans, I have no doubt.

The Turks were excellent but the game is won by scoring goals.

This might sound funny but I'd fancy Germany to beat Russia (bit of a one man - admittedly Arshavin is some player - team for me) in the final but if Spain win through I'd say Torres & Villa would have a field day against the lumps of wood in the centre of the German defense.

Great game tonight, Turkey were bloody unlucky. If Volkan hadn't been suspended they'd probably have went through IMHO.

HH.

Imo, Germany as you quite rightly suggested were very very lucky not to concede more than 2 goals against a Turkish team, that were consistent and gave it their everything.

Despite having only 5 fully fit players on the bench compared to Germany's, and the team Fatih Terim fielded just made it an even more exciting game, mainly because half of the first team was missing; yet the team that played the crappest came out on top.

Just like the previous two games in the competition, Turkey scored late; but for the first time, not as late as it should've been ;)

As for keepers, well both were rubbish tbh. First of all, Rustu came out 10 yards for a ball he knew he wasn't going to win, yet he came out and was a mile off.

Jens Lehmann is getting old, and his brain is going aswell; because Turkey's second goal was a peach for the striker. Nick it in front of the defender (similar to Germany's first), and the keeper was like, it's mine leave it, oh shite they've scored.

Basic keeping errors, overall great game. Pity about the thunderstorm and losing the coverage; but we had a good time listening to the five live team :)

Lehman lost it when he was at Arsenal.

its a shame..
the Turks played amazing but couldnt finish the job infront of the net....

Hi

I thought overall the Turks deserved to win. The germans were all over the place 1st half and bearing in mind the Turks had players missing it was a great perfomance by them.

You know what was funny?

When Faith Terim said he'll play the 3rd choice keeper outfield, then he dismissed it as a joke.

That guys got a good sense of humour...:)

I respect all points of view but do you notice that the bigger the tournament the luckier the Germans get.
It can't all be down to coincidence. Just a thought.

hmmm they will need shit loads of "luck" to beat spain imo ofc

Most definetly.

Okay, Russia's playing style against Spain can be questionned, but the way Spain played was brilliant. Iker Casillas behind the back four look solid enough, and with Torres up front; he'll be capable of scoring.

We have to remember that Villa is out of the final (injured) so most likely it'll be Daniel Guiza starting up front alongside Torres.

We'll have to see what Arrogones chooses, Xavi and Iniesta or does he replace one of them with the fantastic Fabregas.

He played well enough against Russia to cement his place in the team, we will see on Sunday!

I think Fabregas has been the outstanding player in the tournament. I can't understand why he's used as a sub.
He deserves to be in the starting line-up.

IMO, he should go for 5 in the midfield and Torres as a lone striker. Everyone carries on saying that Germany shouldn't be written off, but as the Russia game went, as soon as Villa was injured and Fabregas came on, Spain looked a better side and Torres and Fabregas linked well, similar to Gerrard and Torres (not quite as good though ;))

If Arrogones goes for the 5 in midfield then Spain will most definitely win. the will be able to control the midfield and with Ballack a doubt for the final, it just plays in the hands of the Spanish.
