How does AU work on 3100 ?

can anyone tell me how does AutoUpdate files work on 3100, i read to use << but i cant see how pressing << has no effect as far as i can see, please help.

The << is used to select channels from the multi menu's like Premier Direct. The AU should happen automatically. If it is still working. Sometimes it fails and you have to wait on another patch. You can upload the key files if the AU is not working.

thanks for your reply, the key << has no effet at all, when a scrambled channel is on, is that correct?

Its like pressing the RED button for interactive services. It gives you the option to select other channels. It is used on Premier Direct and others.
