PC's are very common place these days, some of us use them as our main source of entertainment in one way or another.

I'm just wondering if anyone feels the same way as i do, would you miss your PC if it was taken away?

I'll be honest, I feel very uncomfortable when my internet goes down and if my PC were to break I'd be having panic attacks :)

It's the same with mobile phones - How did we cope??
I know if either of these disappeared i would be fooked :comp1:

I've still not become fully dependant on my mobile, but I can feel it coming.

Couldnt image life without tinternet, it is also a bloody good bargaining tool for getting kids to do stuff, lock out their mac address and they soon do what you asked in the 1st place. My son held out for 6 days once and I thought thats really good going but I then realised I hadnt locked out the xbox360 and within an hour he backed down.

If my daughter leaves her phone at home she starts to panic.

i'd go out and play football

..use the house phone.

ah the good old days!

i have no use for my pc without an internet connection lol that show dependant i am lol

Cheers

When I was on remote sites working before mobiles, if the office wanted me to ring they would send me a letter and off I would trot to the phone box. It's not that long ago honest. :proud:

i wouldnt know what to do with myself without the internet now i'd have to pay for movies. with out my mobile i'd just curl up in my bed and wouldnt move again lol

I couldn't manage without t'internet either as I'd miss my daily fix of you guys lol.

As for mobiles, I could easily get rid of mine, if it wasn't provided by work.
It's the bain of my life being mithered!!
When I used to be on remote sites before mobiles, the first thing we would do was find out the number of the site office then tell our office.
We hardly ever got a phone call then.
Now the things never stop.

My ex boss is also a member here, so I'd better not mention how I used to put my phone in the microwave, as it would then give the "number not availabe" message rather than the "phone turned off" message lol
Ahh feck it lol, he can't sack me now lol

Im just back from a fishing truip to Loch Awe, was up there last year with my fone on o2, this year I was up with a Three fone, no fekin signal, ya forget how much ya rely on yer fone/internet till ya dont have it.

Im pondering that very same question.

Thinking of doing a Reggie Perrin and fucing off to a cave somewhere.

Answer is deffo yes. I would probably be happier, spending more of my time outside/reading (ok still loads of alcohol).

I had lost my internet recently and it was a nightmare.

But only because I am was brought up with computers fron the very early 80's, I was in the dawn of the very first C64 on these shores. As from there I have loved them and lived with them, I introduced my partner to them, who had no clue as to even how to press a keyboard button, never mind use the net. In fact we both learned the net together, which is a good thing as it made her realise that computers are not for geeks.

But now our lives are based around computers and the internet, so Witchy mate, to answer your question....no we can not live without computers and the internet!!

We have tried, but it is just not possible.

The invention of the computer is the new wheel in my eyes.

Roll on Charles Babbage, but I am led to believe that he is not the main man, even though my tutors preached me to say he was....is this true?

I'd just be back to Fiesta readers wifes again .Would probably interact more with mates as xbox live now i never see them
