if you like poached eggs but end up with a pot off stringy egg soup heres the answer, fookin genius lol.

get a small cup or ramikin and line it with a large square of cling film then crack an egg into it:

gather the edges of the cling film and twist them together:

plop your eggbomb into a pan of boiling water, cover and let it simmer for 4/5 minutes:

remove from pan:

remove egg from cling film and eat:

That's what I do, create a whirlpool and plop the egg into that.
There's another old wife's tale, something about putting a matchstick in the water first, but I've never tried it.

Kids love a poached egg on toast :)

what does vinger do skybabe never heard this one before

vinigar reduces the viscouscity ?spelling? even the right word? lol, how sticky water actually is, makes it a bit thinner) meaning the egg holds together better as its able to force the water out, giving the egg a better chance of staying in one piece
 
I used to love eggs, until I realised I couldnt eat them :( Makes me sick, only started a few years ago... Some kind of reflux !

Used to love poached eggs :) mum used to have a kind of plastic ball you crack the egg into... screw it up and let it cook.. had a little hole in the top and bottom.. had a small amount of egg come out but was wicked.. like a golf ball :p lol
