I bought the pioneer 115d at the end of december now 6 months later its playing up. I tried burning 4 new 360 games and all of them seemed to burn fine (on the pc anyway) but when I tried them on the Xbox nothing. (Disc dirty or unreadable disc) At first I thought it was the discs I was using Aone 8x discs but then I tried my other writer (lg one?)And every burn worked in the Xbox? So I tried burning a few films with the pioneer and it’s the same thing burns fine but dvd player can’t read the disc?
I’m going to try svp and see if I can send the drive back and hopefully get a refund or a replacement. I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for another drive as I’m not so keen to get a replacement but at the same time I’m not sure what they will say at svp about sending it back or if it’s even worthwhile sending it back, keeping in mind return postage and the cost of the drive being only £15

Most likely the drive is broken, in my opinion over the last two years the quality of Pioneer DVD drives has gone to pieces. At one time they could charge a premium because they were quality, now I find LG and LiteOn are cheap, offer great compatibility and most importantly offer rock solid reliability.

well going to give them a phone when i get up and see if i can get a replacement drive, hopefully a lg one.
