THE great and good of Scottish football gathered for the funeral of Tommy Burns this week.
It was a tear-drenched occasion befitting a true national hero.
But we can reveal the moving event watched by thousands of fans was sullied by a despicable lowlife — who cashed in by selling FREE invites meant for friends and family to CRIMINALS.
Rat-faced dirtbag John Duffy shamelessly flogged a number of the private passes for an average of £125 each.
And last night former Celtic star Davie Provan blasted: “It’s absolutely shocking. On a day like Tommy’s funeral, when the whole of Scottish football came together, it beggars belief that someone would stoop so low as to cash in on his memory.”
Mourners including football greats like Ally McCoist and Gordon Strachan were unaware that — because of heartless Duffy — interlopers mingled with them at St Mary’s Church, in Calton, Glasgow, on Tuesday.
