dodgy graphics card

i have a 256mb ddr3 graphics card when i boot in to safe mode it works fine but in normal mod (xp pro) i get lines of different colours abit lik interference ive tried rolling back drivers etc IS IT FOOKED or is it just a software issue can anyone help

try alternative drivers for it mate, know it sounds silly but some of the drivers seem to get it running in 16 colours, not 32 and you don't notice it....worth a shot mate, nothing to lose

Go back into safe mode and set the resolution to 800 by 600. could be that it is set too high.

Try changing the refresh rate to 60 or 75 Hz and see if it helps

Did you update / change anything before this happened?

I would try a different monitor if you can?
Check all of the monitor connections if you've not done so already?
Try removing the card and re-inserting it in the motherboard, check the fan is clean and working whilst you are in there,
Download the latest driver, unzip to a new folder, removing the card completely from Device Manager then restart and install from the clean new driver.

If this does not work then try to borrow another card to test your PC, monitor or buy a new one.
Is the old card more than 1yr old as it still might be under warranty?
