The real reason

the reason for the aforementiond site closing is as follows: Not due to cable sections being removed.
Below is a quote from the site.

More and more of you have been buying direct from Chinese resellers, who then buy from the manufacture and sell onto you. Many of the Chinese sites (which pretend to be from UK) which have popped up recently all buy their boxes from the same manufacture. Until now, you could not purchase directly from a manufacture unless you where prepared to buy in large bulk orders. But now, that has changed. The manufactures (http://www.dvbseller.com/) recently open their doors to end users allowing quantities of even 1 box and getting around custom charges, which has obvious repercussions on reseller's competition. It's because of this competition we gracefully stop selling dreamboxes due to lack of profit in it for us. This is a growing trend and to be honest, the right way to go to get your boxes even cheaper.

When we informed the manufacture we where closing they offered to buy the Dreambx****** domain so they could have it forward to their European site, which we have agreed so Dreambox***** can still help in some small way to direct people to where they can get quality and cheap boxes for their needs, knowing they will not be conned by like many other Chinese resellers. They also sell other cable & satellite receivers as well as other things and we have been told the new Dreambox 600S is also available and 800HD in development, so we hope that's positive news for the scene. The re-direct will take place from tomorrow, when we delete the shop and give domain ownership to dvbseller.com

Has done the runner he was based in republic of Ireland he is in a court case with dream multimedia copyrights and many other companies in the uk facing the same thing .Any mail you send him on his china address it comes back as incorrect address. people on other forums have the same problem very best thing is to pay by paypal or credit card you can tell them he has sold you a clone box and he should refund your money and send the box to dream multimedia in surrey they will issue you with a letter to prove it is a fake box as they did with my friend. Please report him to the internet fraud squad Scotland yard they have a special branch to deal with this guys.

nice one mate - ive penned my letter right now


Dear Scotland yard,

I was mortified when I recieved my cable box that is mainly designed for helping me to steal intellectual copyright from cable tv networks (with the added bonus of streaming mp3s from my PC and such due to the developmental homebrew nature of the platform) and realised that it works fine for the aformentioned stealing but is *shock horror* not officially made by the company he advertised it was.
I want the very best on this fraudster - the top men in your most special unit should be on it 24 hours a day untill you find him. I think he is in china. Untill then i will go back to pinching WWE pay per views and wish you the best of luck

On a side note, I got an email from DVBS this morning offering discounted p&p and cheaper boxes. Gutted I can't now take him up on his offer...!
