3 red rings...

mate got the 3 red rings so is sending back to ms but he has a ms28 flashed drive (ixtreme 1.4) and originally had a ms25 in it but that drive is dead hence the swap. so bit of advive really whats the best option for sending back.. put in the old dead drive or keep the new one in? could i just get ms28 original fw and replace with the original key flash that and return or does it even matter?..

have sent back consoles with no warrenty sticker etc before with no probs but never a flashed one

Put the original drive back in it mate... that way you'll have a working spare when they return the console with a new mobo and dvd rom

have sent 2 back with flashed drives and no stickers, got new mobo's and roms back in both.

i was the same as you just put the fooked drive back in cleaned area were seal was so it looked like there never was one and sent it back got new rom and mobo :Clap:

cheers was just going to do that anyway lol. have the sticker for this xbox just hope i dont get the liteon drive lol!

just going to send my box back . send a mates back a few months back with a modded drive in and looked like it had been opened with a fork lol and one sticker .. came back with a benq drive ..

anyone know it there still using these or has anyone had any nightmare drive back then theres came back ?

i got one back the other day mate and it came back with its original sammy drive which was happy about the one befor that had a tosh 79 drive and came back with a lovely benq drive :banana::banana::banana:

so they never changed your drive ? did u put the original f/w back on it before u sent it off ?
