Can anyone tell me what drives can be used with the kreon firmware

also looking for any suggestions of places to get such drives

thanks

There are loads on ebay from about £12.00 + P&P maybe even cheaper
all flashed and ready to go.

if you wish to get you own drive and flash it with the fw you need a samsung drive
and the info below is from textbook 2008 so get that down from the stickies and it will tell you all you need to know.

Method 1 – Purchasing a “Kreon” Drive (best option)
The following drives can be purchased, installed in your PC, and then flashed with one of Kreon’s alternate firmwares for reading Xbox 360 games.
SH-D162C (IDE)
*TS-H352C (IDE)
SH-D163A (SATA)
*TS-H353A (SATA)
SH-D162D (IDE)
*TS-H352D (IDE)
SH-D163B (SATA)
*TS-H353B (SATA)

thanks mate i did read this but didn't know if there was new drives that were able to take the firmware

No-one can grumble at £12 for the drives already installed with the kreon firmware :)

Worth every penny chaps :)

Quality :proud: I agree with you mate... the drives are a very good investment :) Mine cost me 20 quid way back when and even at that dollar it was worth every penny :)
