I have a selection of books in MP3 I need to burn them to wav to be read on the car cd player. The MP3 files unpack to about 45 minutes, for an 80 minute CD can I compress the files so I can get two files onto one CD??? help please :silly:

You can't compress wav files and still play in a cd player which only plays wav files.
What do you mean by "the mp3's uncompress to about 45mins"?

when you burn a cd format for a cd player, the number of files you can add depends on length of playback time, not on file data size you will be able to fit 80 mins worth of music onto the disc and no more

you can convert mp3 to wav using nero then burn to disc, how many you get on the disc depands on how big each file is

The is no point in putting them into mp3 if you car player wont read them. So make sure 1st.

You can try overburn. 10 minutes is a bit much tho

Cut them as short as u can. ie end music or whatever. enable overburn in nero or roxio and try.
I found that most players will not like them tho. Try it and see

althernatively u could try 90 minute CD-R's. they are not compatible with every player but they worked in my rover multiplayer. get a few and see.
