dbox2 is broken, should i get a new one for virgin media? or is there an equvilent?

my dbox2 is broken and i can't fix it, should i buy another dbox2 or is there a better newer model out which will allow me to get free channels on virgin media?

yeh ive posted in the dbox forum, it stuck on the kein menu, beta research etc

tried everything...

tried to bring the menu up on tv, but its not recognising by scart either...

i doubt your box is broken i saw your thread in the main forum. Sometimes flashing can be a problem it usually comes down to something blocking the network. I see your pc is a dual core this can cause problems i'd try with another pc if you have access to one.

Kein system is not the end of the box, it just needs flashing again with another image make sure its 2x image if its a nokia. Most likely reason for kein system is cos you probaby flashed a 1x image on your box if its a nokia. What make is your box anyway.

you need to reflash with flash assistant 1.56,this doesnt attemt to back up a corrupted image just reflashing the fresh one.

If you post back with your exact error messages I'm sure someone will be able to help. The Kein system error can be a nightmare but it only means that there is no image on the box. All the solutions will be known so just let us know where you're up to.
